to bicker, argue, quarrel, dispute<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>It is foolish to have any discussion with him, as he will <\/em>threap<em>  that the color red is heavier than the blue of the noonday sky, and similar nonsense.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>10. <strong>torpid<\/strong> \u2014 dormant, unmoving;
