based upon trust<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>Even without a level, they were able to demonstrate that the pool table was out of true by using the wainscoting as a <\/em>fiducial<em> marker.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>stomacher<\/strong> \u2014 ornamented cloth worn over the chest and stomach in 16th Century<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>No coins or jewels had she, yet her <\/em>stomacher<em> cost more than I could steal in a year.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>5. <strong>erysipelas<\/strong> \u2014 acute disease of bacterial origin characterized by fever and rough red patches on the skin<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>Jock&#8217;s legs looked like orange peels when he first contracted <\/em>erysipelas<em> after suffering from gravitational dermatitis.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>6. <strong>spicule<\/strong> \u2014 tiny pointy thing, usu. in groups; huge gas jets shooting from surface of the sun<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>Beneath the icy <\/em>spicules<em> his mustache had become, Troy&#8217;s pale blue lips were barely discernible.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>7. <strong>persnickety<\/strong> \u2014 fussy; snobby; difficult to work with<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>Even before the law changed he was always <\/em>persnickety<em> about seat belts, refusing to even start the car if everyone wasn&#8217;t buckled in safely, and I once even saw him pull over and stop the car when a passenger teasingly undid his seat belt.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>8. <strong>zareba<\/strong> \u2014 protective enclosure, as of thorn bushes or stakes<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>The camel cavalry, if it can be so called, of the Madhi charge fruitlessly against the <\/em>zareba<em> of the English forces, whose canon decimated the four-legged assault.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>9. <strong>gorbellied<\/strong> \u2014 having a protruding belly<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><em>Don&#8217;t even give &#8217;em a second thought, that <\/em>gorbellied<em> crew of Izod wearing, golf cart driving, soulless music listening loveless luckless losers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>10. <strong>terpsichorean<\/strong> \u2014 of or related to dancing;
