Under new management, however, the intriguing <\/em>hederated adornment was torn down, as the ivy covering\u2014ivy being the traditional armorial decoration of poets and musicians\u2014was untimely ripped from the now barren walls.<\/em><\/p>\n

3. flatlings<\/strong> (also flatling<\/strong>) \u2014 with the flat side<\/p>\n

Having disarmed the young runagate, I spun him about with my buckler and showed my disdain for him by striking him <\/em>flatlings across his rump.<\/em><\/p>\n

Finally I endeavored to demonstrate the nature of eclipses and the phases of the moon by constructing a rude <\/em>orrery using bungee cords and parts of an old glockenspiel I had lying about, but he remained convinced that the earth was flat.<\/em><\/p>\n
